Our Approach

Lauren O. Inc. offers a different approach to buying jewelry.  It all started with a passion for gemstones and a love for connecting with people.  A gemstone or diamond can carry so much inner meaning and outer beauty.  It is no wonder that since the beginning of time we have chosen these small precious rocks to embody our most tender emotions.  Lauren O. Inc. exists to reduce the noise in the industry and to clarify any unknowns pertaining to value or process.   Lauren strives to humanize the jewelry buying process through education, transparency, and undivided attention. Here it’s about partnering with clients in the creation or selection of timeless pieces of jewelry so that they too can share a passion for gemstones and a love for the connections and inner meaning of their jewelry.

Lauren is a GIA Graduate Gemologist, a member of the National Society of Jewelry Appraisers and has her Fellowship of the Gemological Association (FGA) through The Gemological Association of Great Britain. She has soaked up priceless knowledge and made lasting connections in 13 years of experience in the jewelry trade.  Lauren started her career in NYC working for a large diamond wholesale company in their buying department.  She continued her career with her father who has over 30 years of experience in the trade as a GIA Graduate Gemologist and Certified Bench Jeweler.   We have set up fantastic global connections to source rare and hard to find diamonds and gemstones, which have earned her the title of “Gem Genie” from some of her clients.

Terry O’Sullivan

Terry’s love for jewelry began at a young age and it grew deeper, stronger and even vivid as he worked his way up in the industry. Terry has over 45 years of experience in the jewelry industry. He is a GIA Graduate Gemologist, Certified Bench Jeweler and a member of The National Association of Jewelry Appraisers. Working with various sectors of the industry he experienced the many facets of the industry up-close and the skilled craft of the cutters, polishers, designers, craftsmen and brands. Terry makes frequent trips to New York to the Diamond District to keep up to date on the market.  He has traveled the world buying gemstones and creating priceless contacts. Terry knows the industry inside and out and knows how to create or find beautiful pieces at incredible prices. He is known for his honesty and sense of humor. He is constantly up to speed on the market and is able to give accurate and fair numbers for appraisals. Feel free to call and ask for him directly, he would love to answer your questions!
